This hutch and coffee table were custom designed to be centerpieces of a coastal-themed home in Aptos, Ca. Both display a custom developed finish to maintain a light-colored look for the naturally light colored American white oak.

The hutch is constructed using solid white oak featuring inset louvered doors, inset soft closing drawers, solid brass butt hinges and pulls, adjustable glass shelving, large upper doors with glass panels, and solid oak tongue and groove slats for the back of the upper section. The upper section is illuminated by means of dimmable LED puck lights for a perfect display of the client's heirloom decor.

The coffee table is also constructed using solid white oak and slip tenon joinery, and features tapered legs, a subtle underbevel to give a light appearance to the stout tabletop, a large shelf, and two inset drawers with soft closing glides and solid brass pulls.
